Our team works hard to make our company successful, but we’ve found that giving back to our community is what really drives us. It feels great and makes a big difference to the people around us.

Neighbor Zip and an amazing teacher, Methany

Just like always, our moving company loves being a part of the community and giving back as much as possible. This year was no different, thanks to the incredible initiative from the iThink Community Foundation. We’re really good at moving stuff, so we wanted to help an amazing teacher at Marietta Middle School, Methany, move to her new dream home.

We joined forces with iThink and made Methany really happy with a fully furnished new home. This project became a reality through a collaborative effort involving the City of Marietta, Habitat for Humanity of NW Metro Atlanta, and Berkadia’s generous sponsorship.

Following the initial surprise and a walkthrough of the fully furnished rooms for Methany, her husband Kelcey, their daughter, and two grandsons, Methany couldn’t help but say, “This truly feels like our home now!” Her two grandchildren were particularly delighted with the room, which was themed with pictures and decorations of their favorite superhero, Spider-Man.

The City of Marietta has contributed six city-owned lots and allocated $500,000 from the federal American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funds towards the Marietta Public Service Housing Program.

Our team is thrilled to have been given this fantastic opportunity to be a part of this project and witness Methany’s joy and amazement firsthand. We’re always here to lend a helping hand to our community and make people happier.

At Zip Moving & Storage, we are passionate about supporting causes that matter to us. In 2022, we had the privilege to participate in an event called Truck Day for the first time since 2019. This amazing show unites many different industries for a great cause: to teach and show our kids how vehicles and business work.

One of the most effective ways of giving back to the community is volunteering and teaching new generations about the importance of community service and philanthropy. Zip Moving & Storage combined those two principles and created a truly magical event for kids and parents. As our team expanded over the previous years, giving back to the community became an even bigger imperative for us, and this year, we decided to do something special for the truck day.

Generosity is incredibly important to Zip Moving & Storage. Giving back can be even more meaningful than moving, especially when younger generations are involved. We wanted to show kids and parents that moving can be an exciting and positive experience. Our professional team knows how to make every relocation a truly joyous occasion, and this year’s truck show allowed us to show a glimpse of that.

We want to thank Har Shalom’s Sherman Early Childhood Center in Potomac, Maryland, for inviting us once again to their truck show and for taking excellent care of our kids.

Truck Day with Zip

Truck Day is one of the best kids’ activities in Maryland. Children love fairytales, so the Zip Moving & Storage team wanted to surprise kids with a magical castle and truck labyrinth. The kids were excited to visit Zip’s moving truck and explore the castle made of moving cardboard boxes. We added blue and orange balloons to make it extra special.

This was a great opportunity to teach our children about the moving industry and our vehicles. They were incredibly curious to learn more about our truck and business as a moving company. We are pleased to say that even the parents seemed interested in learning more about Zip Moving & Storage and how our moving company operates.

The kids were delighted! They enjoyed our improvised labyrinth and explored the ZIP Castle, and on many occasions, they returned to our trucks repeatedly. Meanwhile, the parents were more fascinated with our Zip backpacks, which came in handy on that rainy day for carrying all of the kids’ toys and umbrellas.

Zip is here to take care of you and the little ones. As a company with a long history in the moving industry, we are always here to lend a helping hand and give back to the community. Community spirit is very important to us, and we strive to awaken it in all our employees. Truck Day is an annual event, perfect for families with young children.

Zip Moving and Storage has been participating in Truck Day since 2019, showcasing trucks and introducing the moving industry to children and all interested parties. This year, we are preparing something different and special again, and we can’t wait to see you all again. The amazing Har Shalom’s Sherman is again organizing the event; everyone is invited to come! We cannot wait to hang out with you guys again.

Zipping through your neighborhood - Bike to work day

The popular 20th annual Bike to Work Day was organized on May 20th, 2022! This great event gathers many bike and environment lovers, offering a unique opportunity to hang out and unite for the same cause. Bike to Work Day is a free annual event sponsored by Commuter Connections and the Washington Area Bicyclist Association. Each year, bike riders are offered delicious food, free t-shirts, snacks, and generous giveaways!

This year, Zip Moving & Storage decided to join the cause and bike to work! It was an incredibly fun and exciting experience. We understand how important our environment is for everyone, especially for future generations. This event also sheds light on the importance of mental and physical health. That’s why we would like to encourage as many people as possible to join Bike to Work! Also, invite your friends and loved ones to join!

As a professional moving company with years of experience, we know gas prices have never been higher, and fuel is getting more expensive every day. This is creating additional problems for our environment and economy.

Bike to Work Day helped alleviate the traffic in many areas of the Washington Metropolitan region, allowing many people to enjoy pleasant bike rides on a perfectly sunny day. Our moving company cares deeply about our surroundings and the health of our planet. By supporting this amazing event, we support a better and cleaner planet for everyone!

Neighborly Gesture - Zip's Donation

Zip Moving & Storage partnered with our suppliers, N-95, to donate over 1000 face masks to Northside Hospital Forsyth in Atlanta. In times like these, frontline workers are our heroes, risking their lives to save others. Recognizing their incredible efforts, we felt compelled to take action. Connecting with Northside Hospital Forsyth via Facebook, we were honored to contribute to our community and give back in any way we could.
