If you provide notice of your cancellation at least 5 business days in advance of your scheduled pickup date, you will receive a full refund of your deposit. Customers are given credit for their deposits, and in certain cases, cash refunds will be issued. If less than 5 days’ notice is given and the schedule of our moving trucks is flexible, a deposit credit will be issued.

 Credits for the moving deposit are valid for 12 months from the date of cancellation.

Customers will also receive a refund if damage occurs to belongings during the moving process. This is dependent upon the protection plan used for the move.

REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICY

Zip Moving & Storage understands that planning a move is a time-consuming process. Sometimes, things do not go according to plan, and you must cancel your move.

Our policy states that deposits are non-refundable within 5 business days of the scheduled pick-up date.

If the move is canceled less than 5 business days prior to the scheduled pick-up date and we are able to halt our moving trucks in time, the customer is granted a deposit credit for future moving services. 

If the customer cancels our services after receiving promotional materials such as boxes, tape, bubble wrap, packing paper, the cost of those materials and shipping would be deducted from the deposit.

HOW to reschedule a move

If you reschedule your move with less than 3 business days notice you will be charged 50% of your deposit. Final adjusted balance will be due at the time of your rescheduled move. You would be able to reschedule your appointment only once with less than 3 business days, after that for any other rescheeling you would have to place another deposit for your move.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR THE DEPOSIT TO BE REFUNDED?

Customer refund checks are issued within 6 days of address verification. A team member will double-check the address on file before the check is sent. 

If the deposit was paid via credit card, the refund process will be completed much quicker. Customers with questions regarding refunds are urged to contact our customer service team.
