Why Are Deposits Required?

Zip Moving & Storage offers local (under 50 miles) and long-distance (50-100 miles) moving services, and like any other moving company in the business, we require a deposit fee. Zip Moving & Storage requires 10% of your estimated cost as a deposit fee, compared to different companies that usually require 50% of your entire estimate.

Why Are Deposits Required?

How much is the deposit for a local move?

Moving costs for local moves are determined hourly, and the deposit is equivalent to the hourly rate.

How much is the deposit for a long-distance move?

Moving costs for long-distance moves are weight-based. A 10% of the entire estimated cost is a deposit fee.

Reservation fee can only be paid with a debit/credit card with your sales consultant.

Hidden costs?

Is there a fee to change my date?

Moving on its own requires a lot of planning and organizing, so customers may tend to overlook hidden fees when hiring a moving company. To minimize the possibility of this happening, try your best at being as detailed as possible when communicating with your moving coordinator.

Is there a fee to change my date?

If you reschedule your move less than 3 business days note you will be charged 50% of your deposit fee. The remainder of your adjusted balance must be paid on the day of your rescheduled move.
