We’ll provide you with the easiest and safest tips on how to load a moving truck.

Follow this easy 4-step video.

Loading a moving truck requires a lot of planning and time, and not to mention you need a few extra hands for assistance since this is not a one-man job. When taking this herculean task upon yourself, safety is one of the biggest problems. You surely don’t want to get hurt during this process or your friends and family that are helping you.

Zip Moving & Storage is a full-service company, therefore you can sit back and relax while our skilled movers professionally pack a moving truck ensuring no damage will be caused to your belongings.

STEP #1

For all of your items to perfectly fit into the moving truck, you need to strategically load your belongings. Make sure when you start loading items, you maximize your space by placing them according to the size all the way against the wall of the truck. Make sure not to leave any space in between in order for your belongings not to move during the transportation.

STEP #2

There will be space leftover on the top of the big wooden furniture. The smart thing to do will be to place moving boxes on top to fill up space. Ideally lighter boxes.

STEP #3

Middle of the truck can be filled with a mixture of smaller wooden furniture pieces and boxes. The top of that load can be filled with garden chairs, pillows, and soft items. Make sure to strap bulky items if there are any to the side of a truck.

STEP #4

At the end of the moving truck you will want to have a clean line and you can have it by loading flat items and securing everything with straps inside the moving trucks. Loading a moving truck this way ensures there will be no damage while your belongings are in transport.
